Getting Started w/ the Training. Taking Classes, Seminars or both?

If you are unclear whether to sign up for weekly classes, weekend seminars or both then the information below may help you to get started with your training and see a clearer map to moving through levels 1-3:

Based on years of student observation, evidence has shown that a higher percentage of students are more likely to continue with the practice longterm and receive a greater and longer-term benefit from the practice, if they take the class levels more than one time before moving to the next level of training. This strategy supports the student in developing much deeper energies, a better understanding and stronger confidence in this internal energetic practice. As a result, the weekend seminars (level 1-3) has been broken down into part 1 and part 2 to help the students achieve a higher level of success.

The Levels (1-3), Part 1 and 2 seminars go at a slower, but deeper pace than the weekly classes. Thus, there is more time to go into greater depth with the lecture, group discussion and Q & A and time learning and reviewing each of the exercises. Ideally it would be great if all students were able to do both the Level 1, (parts 1 & 2) in the weekend format and the weekly classes to more strongly deepen one’s practice. But that is not realistic for many students. Therefore, for students who are only able to attend weekly classes it is suggested to repeat the level of training two times before moving to the next level of training. However it is not a requirement. Correspondingly, if you are only able to attend the weekly classes, then make sure you are confident and/ or very committed to the training before moving to the next level. And for students whom are only able to attend the weekend seminars, completion of both parts 1 and 2 of each level of training will be adequate for most students, before moving up to the next level of training.

For additional questions about maneuvering through the training please inquire via email or better yet in your next class or seminar.<

Instructor Brendan Thorson LMP, has over 15 years experience practicing and learning this 5,000 year old science of energetic medicine. He has developed abilities from his years of training to sense where his clients have energetic imbalances and how to use the Qigong (Energy Work) to help balance their energy system (Health & Vitality). He works with the organ and glandular systems, chakras and Acupuncture energy pathways. He also gives personalized Qigong guidance to each individual and additional guidance that could range from food, lifestyle choices, energy psychology (emotional and mental well being), to the incorporation of seeing other health care professionals. Brendan’s guidance will vary from client to client based on their individual situation.

During Brendan’s Consultations:

  • Stage 1:
  • After initial consultation, he will energetically support and guide energy to specific areas of the client to upgrade and balance their energies.
  • Stage 2:
  • Energetically teach and practice specific qigong exercises with each individual client to further balance their health and energies.
  • Stage 3:
  • Prescribe specific qigong exercises for the client to do at home.

Each consultation is personalized for each individual and the above session stages (1, 2, & 3) are often combined together during the sessions.

2. Private Qigong Lessons:

CNE’s for Nurses

Qigong Level 1: Internal Qi Activation & Cultivation

Activation of the Energy Centers

(The first step in the Yi Ren® Qigong Training)

This course teaches the foundational exercises for internal Qi-energy activation, cultivation, grounding and circulation. The purpose of these exercises is to activate and stabilize the energy field, increase internal energy levels and develop the body’s internal energetic communication system. These Qi-energy based exercises will increase vitality and creativity, enhance immunity and self-healing, and improve the quality of practitioners’ lives.

In Part 1, we will learn the internal energy activation exercises, which involve activating the “lifegate” or battery pack of our energy system, followed by cultivating our energy centers and grounding our internal energy.

In Part 2, we will learn how to activate our marrow and brain gates, which involves connecting with our autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS is the body’s control system, enabling and empowering us to balance and harmonize our internal organ functions. Circulation of the Du and Ren meridians through the Small Universe exercise is key to our information management system. This is preparation for Level II, where we activate and circulate energy through the 12 internal organ meridians.

Testimonials:
“Brendan’s Qigong class is the best Self-Care I have found in over 25 years. I am amazed at how little I react to stressful moments. My severe anxiety issues are gone & my energy levels stay constant throughout the day.” Jill Morris, LNP, LMP, RMT

“As a Nurse, I initially felt pretty skeptical about attending the QiGong training with Brendan. My days are spent in science based activities and Western medicine. I was really surprised when I was able to feel the energy between my hands and an unexplainable sense of joy and lightness during the first class. The benefits have been: sleeping more soundly, feeling more energized during the day, not feeling as overwhelmed during the day with stress, greatly reduced anxiety, feeling grounded and feeling more connected to other people. My diet and appetite has also changed for the better, I now crave healthier foods.” Lynn, Registered Nurse
